Global Technical Support Leader:


The Global Technical Support Leader is a newly created position responsible for developing the vision and strategy of the Technical Support Organization in order to enhance Customer Excellence, further overall growth initiatives, and create opportunities for Organization and field productivity gains. This will include developing process capabilities to enable the field to meet key customer performance metrics and ensure that New Products are designed for serviceability. The team is located at 2 US and 3 EU R&D facilities and comprises over 70 personnel. Key Focus areas
  •  Identify opportunities to support each of the Company Business Elements with special emphasis on balancing Customer, BU, and Competitive pressures.

  •  Manage and drive profitable business growth for Technical Support area. Identify key market/customer opportunities for growth and develop key metrics and action plans to grow deeper into customer relationships.

  •  In conjunction with the leadership team, identify opportunities for six sigma projects that will impact growth, customer satisfaction and productivity. Mentor team on six sigma projects.
  •  Support New Product Introduction and R&D process.
  •  Continue to leverage talent and upgrade knowledge, skills, and abilities as needed to develop bench strength of organization.
  •  Build cohesion and greater communication within  business elements, field staff, and customers.

Develops/mentors team members to achieve maximum potential/productivity. Understands competencies of team members and implements development plans to assist in career aspirations.

Requirements
  •  Bachelor of Science. (MBA preferred.)
  •  A track record of success in implementing continuous improvement using Six Sigma Black Belt methodology. Black Belt Certification strongly desired.
  •  Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience.
  •  Proven experience with NPI process from a service, manufacturing and R&D perspectives.
  •  Prior management experience leading teams in the planning and executing of multiple projects.
  •  Proven track record leading remote teams.
  •  Ability to balance the requirements of different stakeholders with an ability to drive projects to closure.
  •  Must have an exceptional ability to communicate information, opinions observations and conclusions to senior levels in the organization so that are understood and can be acted upon.
