AECOM Environment is looking to hire a PROJECT MANAGER or SR PROJECT MANAGER to work in our Rocky Hill, CT office. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience including working in the States of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York (preferred). Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience and capabilities for work on exciting brownfields, manufactured gas plant, and industrial projects, Phase I, II, III environmental assessment, and remediation projects. Candidate will be responsible for securing work, managing the development and execution of site assessment work plans; managing the preparation and execution of remediation action plans and designs; and managing remediation oversight and closeout documentation.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures the overall effective functioning of multi-disciplinary project teams and performs a variety of technical tasks.
2. Develops project proposals, budgets and performance targets. Analyzes expenditures and compares them to approved budgets. Assures compliance of efforts with project schedule, and company procedures. Investigates and resolves design and field difficulties. Uses industry software applications.
3. Develops client relationships that facilitate successful project completion and identify future opportunities. Seeks out new business opportunities and takes action to identify opportunities to expand the scope of existing projects. Proactive management of clients and projects regarding collection of fees.
4. Responsible for developing work plans/designs and implementing environmental assessment and remediation projects.
EXPERTISE:
1. Recognized as a leader, both internally and externally within remediation market (local preferred); 2. Attracts business through proven ability and industry recognition; 3. Broad exposure to different types of projects for different market sectors (e.g. private, public, industrial); 4. Strong civil engineering/site remediation and redevelopment experience (Preferred) 5. Strong communication, interview and public speaking skills (Preferred)
Qualifications
* 10-15 years of related site assessment and remediation experience (RCRA, brownfields, and MGP)
* Registration as a Professional Engineer (CT, NY), and/or Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (Preferred)/Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional
* Project Management experience
* B.S Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related Environmental Degree – MS Preferred
